KU Leuven Full Tuition Scholarship for Africa 2027–2028:

Introduction

African students planning to pursue a master’s degree in Europe can consider the KU Leuven Full Tuition Scholarship for Africa for the 2027–2028 academic year. Offered by KU Leuven in Belgium, the award is intended for academically strong students who are also from eligible African countries.  Scholarship applicants must check the list of qualifying master’s programme (see below).

What does the scholarship cover?

Selected students receive a full tuition-fee waiver for the normal duration of their eligible programme. Recipients pay an annual administration fee of €140. They receive a one-time allowance of €4,000 for the entire programme. This allowance is not €4,000 per year, so applicants should prepare a realistic budget for accommodation, food, transport and other expenses.

Who can apply?

Applicants must be citizens of an eligible African country and reside in an eligible country at the time of application. Candidates must demonstrate an excellent academic record and strong potential. Furthermore, they must generally have obtained their previous degree from a higher-education institution outside Flanders. The scholarship excludes bridging and distance-learning programmes. In addition, applicants who already study at a Flemish higher-education institution generally do not qualify for the scholarship.
